    We are based in Damascus, Oregon and work a roughly 30 mile radius from Happy Valley. That covers Damascus, Happy Valley, Oregon City, Clackamas, Gresham, Boring, Sandy, Estacada, Milwaukie, Portland and most of the greater metro.
  • 02 Do you work with general contractors and developers?
    Yes. A large portion of our work is site prep, foundation dig outs and lot clearing for residential builders, custom home contractors and small developers. We hit the grade, hit the schedule and hand the site off clean.
  • 03 How quickly can you start a job?
    We can usually walk a site within a few days of your call and start most residential jobs within one to two weeks, depending on the season and current schedule. Bigger commercial jobs we plan around your timeline.
  • 04 Do you handle demolition and haul off?
    Yes. We handle structure tear downs, concrete and slab demo, and the full haul off. You do not need a separate dumpster company or hauler. One crew, one bill.
  • 05 Are you licensed and insured?
    Yes. Beaver Excavation is fully licensed and insured to operate in the state of Oregon. We can send a certificate of insurance to any GC or property owner that needs one before we start.

    Yes. Send us your address, scope and any plans or photos you have, and we will give you a straightforward quote with no surprises.
  • 07 Who actually runs the equipment on my job?
    Nathan, the owner, runs the iron himself. You get the owner on site, on the controls, with eyes on every cut and every load. That is how the quote you were given stays the job you get.
  • 08 What is the difference between land clearing and lot clearing?
    Land clearing is vegetation work: brush, scrub, blackberry and invasive removal, tree removal and stump grinding on raw or overgrown ground. Lot clearing is the whole-lot version for new construction, subdivisions or property cleanups, ending in a stripped, rough graded lot that is ready for the next phase. Not sure which yours is?   • 09 Do you deliver gravel, topsoil or rock?
    Yes. Topsoil, gravel and rock delivery is part of our hauling and grading service. We bring material in on our own dump truck and trailer, and we can spread and finish grade it once it lands.
  • 10 Can you dig a basement or foundation from my builder's plans?
    Yes. Foundation dig outs are core work for us: slab and stem wall excavation, basement and crawlspace dig outs, footing trenching and retaining wall excavation, all dug to the depths and elevations on your plans and handed off clean to the forms crew.
  • 11 Can you clear blackberries and overgrown ground?
    Yes. Blackberry and invasive removal is one of the most common land clearing jobs we do around the metro, along with brush and scrub clearing and stump grinding. The debris is hauled off as part of the job.
  • 12 Do you handle utility trenching?
    Yes. Utility trenching and backfill are part of our excavation work, alongside cut and fill, rough and finish grading, driveway and access road prep and drainage excavation.
  • 13 Do you take on small homeowner jobs or only builder work?
    Both. We move dirt for builders, developers and general contractors, and just as often for homeowners with a single project: a tear down, an overgrown lot, a driveway or a foundation dig. Same crew, same standard, free estimate either way.
